You can get a taste of the freshly caught oysters which are caught by the local fishermen. A variety of dishes are prepared like stuffed clams, raw oysters, and clam chowder. The main sponsor of this fest is Wellfleet SPAT, which is a non-profit initiative to promote the aquaculture and shellfish industries of Wellfleet. At the end of the festival, Wellfleet returns all the oyster shells to the ocean where they can become habitats for new oysters in the future. This year, the festival is going to be held from October 14 to 15, 2017.
John’s Pass Seafood and Music Festival, Madeira Beach, Florida
